Batman and Joker Interview

If you've seen Dark Knight (or even Batman Begins) this spoof will make you laugh your ass off... be careful if you value your ass.

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi...

Two words... holy crap. I've heard other companies are now working on similar technologies that would be used to project straight from your cell phone. "Sorry, can't talk right now... Darth Vader's calling and wants a report on the status of our attack on Hoth."

Kimbo Slice

So this guy is huge. He is all over youtube and was on some CBS MMA fight a couple weeks ago. He got his ass kicked but prompted me to look him up.

This is one of the funniest videos I have ever seen....

Text Generator

I though this was kind of cool. It's a website that allows you to create different kinds of text. You can make a fake newspaper clipping, or a movie clapper board with your name on it. You can even have an animated ninja write your name. Check it out.

Happy 50th Birthday, LEGO!

LEGO turned 50 today. In a related story, I was trying to track down some information on LEGO brick sizes, and stumbled up on this guy's website. He's a professional LEGO sculptor, and his stuff totally rocks. Enjoy!

New Terminator TV Series on Fox

So the minds that brought us Terminator 3 and Smallville now are set to deliver Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV show on Fox. What a bag of mixed emotions this is. Terminator 3 was a huge disappointment and I'm having a hard time digesting the idea of a Terminator production without Arnold.

There is a hint of intrigue however. If done well, despite the previews that lead me to believe it has not been, it could breath new live into the franchise and give us Terminator fans something new to latch onto.

It's set in the years following the events of T2: Judgement Day and Sarah and John are trying to avoid the cops, stay off the radar, and stop the further development of Skynet. As one would expect there is a friend from the future (a woman) sent back to help them and a Terminator sent back to destroy them (appears to be another 101-type model only it's not Arnold).

I'd like to say I have high hopes. I'd like to say I'll give it a chance and watch a few episodes. However, I make no promises. But in a month I may ask "Have you seen Sarah Connor... Chronicles?"

Check out what appears to be the official site (complete with a trailer):

Appropriate that this is post #101. :-)

Steve Martin's SNL "King Tut" song. I figured it was timely, given the recent exhibition.

Icon Wars

Something cool from Japan...who knew? This animation was discovered by a friend from work. She was nice enough to send me a link. It's very cool--very much in the style of "Animator vs Animation." Make sure your speakers are turned on for some cool sound fx courtesy of Skywalker Sound.

Internet radio

"The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger. Royalty rates for webcasters have been drastically increased by a recent ruling and are due to go into effect on July 15 (retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!). To protest these rates and encourage the millions of net radio listeners to take action and contact their Congressional representatives, a national Day of Silence will be held June 26. Webcasters ...."
